Thursday, Dec. 15 at 7 pm, Hillel Foundation, 611`Langdon St. is sponsoring a panel of UW faculty on the Occupy movement. It would be good to have some folks from the Madison Occupation present.

Does anyone know where the 99% posters and other signs created at the first sign working group are? (one said “where are the jobs?, one said “oh…its on!” one said “stop the fed” and others.) Do they still exist? Did they get “lost” in the moves? Did they get destroyed in the elements?
Cindy, are you talking about the paper ones? Because I think several paper banners got destroyed by weather. There might be some that some people saved and put somewhere, but I have no idea.
Hello Occupy Madison Arts Committee! The Evolution Arts Collective is offering its space on the east side of Madison, walking distance from our occupy site on E. Washington, for an Occupy Madison benefit show featuring food, bands and other live entertainment. We need to schedule a date. These dates work for them: January 13th, 14th or 15th OR January 20th, 21st or 22nd. Please let me know which one of these 6 dates you think we could turn out the most folks to this benefit. Also, if you have suggestions for bands to play, please send me those suggestions. If you would like to help collect food donations from local businesses for the event or help set-up, tear-down or do publicity for the event, please be in touch. Thanks!

The “Fight Foreclosure” working group will meet Thursday, Nov. 17 at Mother Fools coffee shop, 1101 Williamson St. beginning at 6:00 pm. Anyone interested in helping homeowners resist foreclosure is welcome.

Could someone tell me if there are regular meetings for the Arts and Culture committee? Is it every two weeks on Thursdays at the People’s Art Collective on South Park? Has anyone checked in with the nearer, Evolution Arts Collective on the east side of Madison? I will check with them to see if we could use their space.

Thanks to Colleen and Jen for giving Eric and I a ride! I have stepped up to be the point person for this group, so please, let me know what that means to you and I will let you know what it is beginning to mean to me. So far, it seems like it is about me being a hub for information about arts, culture and literature happening around Occupy Madison. I would like to make contact with neighborhood associations and other groups to try and draw more minorities into the Occupy-Madison movement.
