Announcements:
Anne: Noah wants to start looking at finding a new site and alternative living, working with Dane County Time Bank & Cooperatives, and scheduled a meeting for Sun 6 PM Veterans Plaza.
Brenda: Every other Monday she has a show on WORT at noon; this coming Monday she invited up to six people to come talk about Occupy Madison site. Paul, Allan, Will and Dan indicated interest. Also, she invited people to come to Progressive Dane meeting, May 23rd at the Hawthorne Library, to talk about what worked and what didn’t with Occupy Madison. She indicated members were upset that they realized too late what Occupy Madison site was about.
Allen: reiterated Farmers’ Market table is available if anyone is interested as well as a $25 permit during the week on the square.
Proposal/Discussion: Letter to the Editor drafted by Dan, Terre, and Brenda. Things that emerged: 1) Game plan to get people involved in poverty issues 2) Increasing public’s awareness of existing agencies & services (negative and positive) 3) Decriminalization of homelessness in downtown Madison.
